'Biblical Difficulties - answers by the Rev. James Clark'
Rev. James Clark (1830-1905) served the Bible Christian Church of Salford from 1858 until the year of his death.
At least three of his sermons were reprinted as Biblical tracts by the Vegetarian Society.
The above essay was published by the London Vegetarian Society in their journal The Vegetarian dated January 28th 1899.

Rev. Alfred Broadley succeeded Rev. Clark and served as Chairman of the Vegetarian Society Executive during the 1900's.
James Hough eventually explored the impact of the Bible Christians on vegetarian activity in a lecture.

'The Wider Fellowship of Love and Service' by Rev. Walter Murray, B.D.
The author of this sermon enrolled at Manchester Unitarian College in 1916 and Ministered at the Bible Christian Church of Salford after the First World War.
First published by the Vegetarian Society in June 1934 and reprinted as a tract in the same year.

'Vegetarianism as a factor in religious life' by Rev. Philip C. Whiteman, B.A.
Rev. Whiteman was the last in a line of Ministers to serve the Bible Christian Church of Salford which promulgated the vegetarian ideal since 1809.
The denomination was dissolved in 1932, after which Rev. Whiteman returned to his native Unitarian Ministry.
The above text appeared in the October 1939 edition of The Vegetarian Messenger and Health Review and was reprinted as a Vegetarian Society tract in 1940. See: sermon

'Vegetarianism in the early Christian Church' by William E. A. Axon
Transcript of a lecture by a Bible Christian officer of the Vegetarian Society who later served as its President. The text was originally published in the October 1893 edition of The Vegetarian Messenger and reprinted as a tract in the following year.
