"I am quite sure that many of us who have described ourselves as humanitarians in the past have done so believing it only to mean that we are humanely disposed to the sub-human creatures as well as towards our fellow human beings.
The writer has been encouraged in recent times in having met a number of really sincere Christians who have confessed that they do foresee the time when the vegetarian issue will have to be faced by committed Christians more and more if the phrase in the Lord's Prayer "may Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is done in heaven. . ." means anything at all.
There are indications in several directions that vegetarianism is becoming more of a "live issue" in the Churches again and we hope and pray that it may become much more live until this blot on Christian living is erased from the world."
